Tuesday, November 12th was our biannual whole school Italian Day. With lots of Pinocchios, La Befanas, Michelangelo, Da Vinci, soccer players as well as students proudly wearing the Italian colours wandering through our gates we were transported over the Mediterranean to Italy. At our assembly we cast an admiring eye over all the wonderful costumes and red, white and green before we headed for a variety of wonderful activities.
From Bocce to Mask-Making, from Soccer to a wonderful theatrical event called, ‘Pantalone’s Inn’, all students had a fun-filled day immersed in Italian culture. To top it all off there was pizza and gelati to round out the day’s events.
A big Italian Grazie to Senorina Rosa for all her hard work putting together this huge event and to all the staff, parents and outside groups for their assistance and cooperation!
